Aspri to market Indus wines

Aspri Spirits Private Limited, one of India’s leading importers and distributors of premium wines and spirits has inked an agreement with Terroir India Pvt. Ltd to market and distribute their brand ‘Indus’ wines in India and international markets. This is Aspri’s first tie-up with an In¬dian wine producer.
Under the contract, Aspri Spir¬its will handle the marketing and distribution activity of Indus Wines for an initial period of five years. In¬dus Wines will tremendously benefit from Aspri’s widespread reach en¬abling them to expand their footprint and extend their presence to markets beyond just Maharashtra where they were initially present.
Sharing details on the tie-up, Arun Kumar, director, Aspri Spirits Pvt Ltd. said, “Our tie-up with Ter¬roir India is purely to manage the distribution and marketing arrange¬ment for both the Indian market and the international markets.”
On the same note, Jackie Matai, director, Aspri Spirits Pvt Ltd. said, “We are very happy to gain the marketing rights of Indus Wines. We hope to use our strong penetration and distribution net¬work to make this wonderful wine easily available to all. Also, in con¬tinuing with our commitment to ensure highest quality standards, we will use this platform to deliver on¬going growth to the company and its brands by monitoring and support¬ing the brand, thus increasing the economic value of the company.”
Elaborating on the phased na¬tional roll-out of the Indus wines, Kumar said, “The first phase of launch will take place in Mumbai; during the next quarter these wines will be rolled out in Delhi, Karna¬taka, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Ra¬jasthan, Punjab, Goa, Haryana and Uttarakhand. Simultaneously, work will commence on gearing up for the opening up of other markets as well such as Assam, Himachal, UP and Andhra Pradesh.”
Speaking on the subject, Abhijit Vasantrao Kabir, director, Terroir In¬dia Pvt. ltd said, “We have always chosen to be associated with the best in the industry. Aspri Spirits has established itself as one of the leading names in marketing and distribution of international wines and spirits. With this tie-up, we aim to expand our footprint and tap Aspri’s exten¬sive market reach to help grow our brand. This tie-up will surely help us reach out to all our critical markets across the country and globally.”
Indus wines’ labels include – In¬dus Vineyards premium Shiraz 2006 (Red wine), Indus vineyards Cab¬ernet Sauvignon 2007 (Red wine), Indus vineyards Cabernet Shiraz 2007 (Red wine), Indus Vineyards Rosé 2007, Indus Vineyards Chenin Blanc 2007 (White wine) and Indus Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2007 (White wine).
The pricing of these labels will vary from state to state depending upon the local excise structures. In Mumbai these labels will be priced at Rs 540 for Rosé, Rs 650 to Rs 800 for Cabernet Sauvignon, Rs 420 for Chenin Blanc and Rs 540 for Sauvi¬gnon Blanc.
