S Raghunathan is new CFO of Dabur

Dabur India has appointed S Raghunathan as the new chief financial officer with effect from May 1, 2010. Raghunathan has succeeded Rajan Varma, who retired from Dabur some time ago. Prior to joining Dabur, Raghunathan was the CFO at Raymonds. With over 22 years of experience in finance and accounting, he has held a number of senior positions in Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Sundaram Finance.

A Mahendran to become new MD of GCPL

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has appointed A Mahendran, currently a non-executive director on the board, as managing director (MD) of the company with effect from July 1. He will take over from Dalip Sehgal, who resigned as MD, as well as director on board, to pursue opportunities outside the Godrej group. Mahendran led the merger between Godrej Tea and Godrej Industries Foods Division to create Godrej Beverages & Foods (GBFL) in 2006. The firm has since been rechristened as Godrej Hershey following the induction of Hershey’s US as a partner in the company. He has played a pivotal role in steering the company right from its inception.

Andrew Levermore joins Bharti Retail

Bharti Retail, a fully-owned subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises, has appointed Andrew Levermore as its chief operating officer. Levermore will join Bharti Retail in July 2010 and lead the operations for Easyday and Easyday Market stores across India. Levermore has over 28 years of rich global experience in the retail industry – both in luxury and value retail. Prior to being appointed by Bharti Retail, he was the director of stores for Woolworths in South Africa. Earlier, Levermore was CEO of HyperCity Retail.

Prior to the recent appointment, Kataria was serving Hindustan Unilever as global brand director. Bajpai is currently the seniordirector – legal and compliance, ICICI Venture. He is a qualified law professional and brings with him over 22 years of rich and diverse legal experience in various corporates including Marico Limited, Indian Hotels Company Limited and Maruti Udyog Ltd. He is also a qualified Company Secretary.
